Best Reason Why the Christian Coalition is Irrelevant

Here is the latest from the Christian Coalition:

Stop the "Law of the Sea" Treaty

Left-wing groups are pushing the United States Senate to quickly pass a dangerous treaty called the Law of Sea Treaty which was opposed by President Ronald Reagan and former Senator Jesse Helms.

The goal of left-wing groups supporting this treaty are global taxes, United Nations' control of the Internet (invented by Americans), a standing army controlled by the United Nations and much more.

Contact your Senators and let them know that you oppose ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty.

Am I the only one that doesn't see the connection between Christianity and the Law of the Sea Treaty??? This seems to be an appeal to conservative principles (I suppose) rather than an appeal to Christian principles. Which would be fine if this were National Review or some other conservative group.

Seriously people, this is the very reason that the Christian Coalition has become irrelevant. I have no problem (and in fact encourage) with a Christian group advocating Christian principles. But I have a BIG problem with a Christian group advocating conservative principles as if they equal Christianity. Let us be very clear here: Christianity does not equal Conservatism. Same goes for Liberalism/Leftism.
