Dignan's #5 Blog of 2005: Eternal Revolution

Last summer I discovered a great blog called Plaidberry run by Chad Hamilton. It was uncanny to read another blog so similar in tone and content to mine. In addition to the good writing, Chad had some good commentors that disagreed with him yet were willing to have some good dialog. Chad along with some other folks including one of his frequent commenters, Gaunilo, started a great new group blog, Eternal Revolution.

I'm generally not one for blog mission statements or visions but I really do like the vision statement of Eternal Revolution from G.K. Chesterton's book by the same title:
"To the orthodox there must always be a case for revolution; for in the hearts of men God has been put under the feet of Satan. In the upper world hell once rebelled against heaven. But in this world heaven is rebelling against hell. For the orthodox there can always be a revolution; for a revolution is a restoration."
