Wikipedia Entries 'Cleaned' By Political Staffers

Have you guys heard about this story? The Lowell Sun Online has reported that congressional staffers of U.S. Rep. Marty Meehan have edited his bio at Wikipedia to expunge some campaign promises he made that he did not fulfill.

Not only have staffers of Meehan been involved in some dishonest editing, but it appears that many staffers of other members of Congress have been involved in "deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of the encyclopedia.". There have already been concerns about the integrity of Wikipedia since anyone can make edits.

But I am mostly struck by the juvenile acts by Congressional staffers. Do they not have enough work to do that they can bother with something like Wikipedia? Do they think that people believe everything in Wikipedia?
