Where have all the public servants gone? (Part 2)

I have written in the past of betrayal of trust in this country when politicians use their office for personal gain in the case of having bridges or roads named after themselves. I think I may have found something even more shamful.

Last week DRUDGE reported that Senators Spector and Harkin attempted to have federal buildings named after themselves.

"Senators Arlen Specter (R-PA) and Tom Harkin (D-IA) named buildings after THEMSELVES in the Labor-HHS Appropriations conference -- which they oversaw!"

Fortunately the House voted down these requests. But these men should be voted out for such craven egotism.

But even though the House shot this down, they are no better. Last week the House voted themselves a cost of living increase in salary of $3,100. A cost of living increase for a club of mostly millionaires??? You've got to be kidding me. This is another egregious case of politicians being completely out of touch with reality. When are Americans going to stop voting for these jokers and get back to having real public servants?
